Synopsis#

The goal of this proposal is adjust Discord channel access limit to allow $RICE Holder role can access Event and Square categories.

Motivation#

Event category is includes like Radio Party, Community Call channels to allow members playing and participate in community events. Square category is a sharing space allow members share and check the latest informations in crypto space like news, articles, podcasts, and videos. In current mechanism, just Passport and Cafeteria have the access for Event and Square categories but rather $RICE holders. As the supporters of DAOSquare, seems they have no any rights and benefits from community and they are even the outside people of community. I think it's not make sense, and we need to leave a seat for them in community to join us and growth with us, and be stronger supporter of DAOSquare.

Specification#

• Open the access of Event category to $RICE Holder role.
• Open the access of Square category to $RICE Holder role.

Rationale#

$RICE holders can follow more messages about the update of DAOSquare, and feeling the culture of DAOSquare in Event category, which will help them become stronger supporters of DAOSquare. Through the Square category, $RICE holders can obtain more valuable information from the community rather than just chatting, which will help them better appreciate the value of the DAOSquare community, thus making them more willing to visit and stay in the DAOSquare community. It will be a win-win game for DAOSquare community.
