Head to Untitled for a guide on filling out this template.

Summary:

Evenly distribute a total of 20,000,000 JBX to the 38 wallets controlling Juicebox projects that had paid more than 0.05 ETH in fees as of Ethereum block 14,129,163.

Motivation:

  • Further distribution of JBX mitigates existential risks to Juicebox and the Juicebox ecosystem. The more decentralized JBX is, the more resilient the ecosystem is to individual bad actors or hostile takeovers.
  • Further JBX distribution will allow for governance to more closely reflect the views of the Juicebox community at large.
  • In general, JBX projects will inherently have the long-term interests of the Juicebox ecosystem in mind, making them trustworthy holders of JBX.

Risks:

  • This proposal will dilute the voting power of JBX holders not on the list.
  • Some Juicebox projects may have been created as a means of airdrop farming.
  • Some Juicebox projects are no longer operational, meaning the JBX received by those projects will be unusable.
  • Many Juicebox projects have governance cycles which would make voting in Juicebox governance impractical.

Specification:

Use disperse.app to send 526,315 JBX to the 38 wallets controlling Juicebox projects that had paid more than 0.05 ETH in fees as of Ethereum block 14,129,163.

Rationale:

  • Using disperse.app allows for a reduction in gas fees associated with distributing an ERC-20 to this many addresses
  • A minimum of 0.05 ETH in fees prevents sybil attacks and puts JBX in the hands of projects with more of a vested interest in the protocol.

Timeframe:

This JBX will be distributed immediately, and only once.
