Thesis

Pay Felixander $2,000 per funding cycle for writing and community engagement services, including highlighting JB news through articles, interviews, project and creator blurbs and more on the JB blog.

Abstract

I’m requesting to be brought on as an ongoing contributor to write for JB. My work helps JB members (both new and old) get to know each other better and learn about new goings-on and happenings as they arise. I am always down to provide writing help in any capacity needed, and would envision being able to further create various articles and prosocial engagement opportunities for community members and contributors.

Motivation

I have been having an absolute blast writing for the JB blog and I would like to commit more time to doing so. My goal is to be able to create amazing content and to build out what I have started already. I would also love to create some fun community writing events.

Long-term, I would love to turn the JB blog into a news source where people can get really high-quality information about different DAOs, their aims, needs and progress.

Risks

I am asking to be brought on as a regular contributor, which is admittedly a big deal. I feel strongly that I am here to stay at JB and that I enjoy the work and can add to the community, but any decision to bring on a contributor involves risk that should be weighed carefully.

Timeline

I have started this work and am in the process of continuing it. With the support of this proposal passing I will be able to produce more work more frequently, and will hopefully be able to create more in-depth articles as well.

Transparency and gratitude

I have to give a huge thank-you to all of you who helped me by giving interviews, and to filipv for onboarding me and guiding me through a lot of things at JB. To be open and transparent, I have a really hard time assigning value to my own contributions. The resources I’m asking for are what will allow me to be able to throw myself at JB’s writing needs with all of my heart, which is what I would like to do. Thank you!
