Title: Process for Voting in Other DAOs

Thesis

Give Juicebox DAO more flexibility to vote on proposals in other DAOs, thereby exerting a greater influence on the ecosystem.

Abstract

Allow the multisig to vote on proposals in other DAOs if the following two conditions are met:

  1. It would be impossible to vote in time by going through Juicebox governance.
  2. This vote is explicitly approved by >75% of multisig members.

Motivation

There will be times where it is in the interest of the Juicebox community for the DAO to vote on a proposal, but the Juicebox governance process is not quick or flexible enough. This proposal will allow for Juicebox DAO to exert a greater influence (especially on DAOs Juicebox makes payouts to).

Risks

  1. This could lead to a crisis if the multisig votes irresponsibly, or without considering voices throughout the community. The high threshold somewhat mitigates this risk, but multisig members must nonetheless remain vigilent in keeping the interests of the larger Juicebox community in mind.
  2. This proposal increases multisig authority, which increases the risk of centralization. Groups rarely give up power.
  3. Juicebox DAO has so many governance tokens. Utilizing them may interfere with existing processes and culture.
