Thesis:
To throw the Juicebox version, of the ice cream social of your childhood dreams and give away 420 scoops of unique, JB Protocol ice cream, per day over three days (Mon-Wed
Abstract:
Allot $30,000USD to partner with Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream (MNYC) during NFT NYC (June 20-22) to entice, invite, and introduce project builders and dream seekers to learn about JB Protocol and make dreams f-ing come true …and dish out free ice cream!
Motivation:
Gen pop thinks crypto is dead (or was never a viable thing) so why not introduce them to the idea that there are platforms and builders out there doing dope things with good intentions. This is a great way to create opportunities for not just web3 builders to delve into the world of JB, but also to introduce normies of NYC to the good that can come out of decentralized funding through free ice cream, inflatable banny’s, builder sessions, and good vibes. This will also be a great opportunity to meet and thank the people who have already created projects using the protocol and strengthen camaraderie across projects. Add to get Filipv, Tankbottoms, Nicholas, and Mieos dancing in the streets of NYC in life size banana costumes.
Morgenstern’s is an iconic, NYC brand centrally located, in a landmark area between Greenwich Village and lower Manhattan, so partnering with them to spread the good word of JB is pretty special. They’ve worked with the Rick & Morty brand, Flavors of Singapore, and word on the street is that Coinbase has a contract in to have them at their events at NFT NYC as well. There’s no doubt, this is an epic paring.
We’ll have access to a reserved, special events space and have access to space in the street to set up extra tables/ chairs for people to hangout, catch up, learn, create, whatever the ice cream inspires them to do. We’ll be able to host people who are interested in learning how the protocols works and give. them the opportunity to build their project right then and there with a seasoned JB member helping them along the way.
The MNYC team will have window and door decals printed which will serve as advertising for the ice cream pop up prior to the event itself to help get the word out. JB will have a dedicated ice cream cart and staff scoopin’ for the DOA between the hours of 12p-6p June 20-23rd.
Prior to the event (ASAP), Members of JB DAO will submit ice cream names and flavors which will then be voted on by the DAO. The top 6 will become the flavors that are served over the four days with the possibility of the flavors becoming a capsule collection for JB Protocol and used for future events/ endeavors.
Budget breakdown
$15k for creation of product, use of staff at MNYC over the four day, 6 hrs/ day, including tip for staff, as well as vinyl window and door decals that will be up a few days prior to our event taking place as well as the ice cream cart branding and signage for the street if we decide to “wrap” the street space with branding. With guidance from Nick, the owner, this budget allows for our target of giving away 420 scoops of ice cream per day.
$12K for SWAG and decor- @Sage Pivirotto is creating a unique design for tshirts that will showcase the JB x Morgenstern’s Collab event. @Anonymous is on board to print tshirts, bandanas, and stickers via merch squad. Nick, the owner of Morgenstern’s has a connection for hats & visors. The idea is to turn the space we have access to, into a IRL mini version of the JB learning center with tropical vibes. Lexicon Devils are up to creating a CV replica of Morgenstern’s so we can live stream some build sessions or so people who aren’t able to make it to NYC can pop in and say ‘waz up”. We’re pricing out inflatable JB costumes and logos, a toucan may or may not make an appearance one day, and other, small give ways are in the works should budget allow.
$3k on hand for unforeseen events that will need to be addressed immediately. Kenbot will be our “boots on the ground” contact for this event so would be the one overseeing potential need for last minute spending.
$1k for Kenbot’s event management during the four days.
Total: $31,000 USD (MNYC will accept ETH as payment)
Should there be a remaining balance, it will be returned to the treasury.

Risks:
Timeline is tight, so we can’t drop a ball when it comes to design and merch creation. We have to make sure there is enough time to produce and get items shipped in time. Same for ice cream flavors, MNYC needs at least one week to get our flavors made.
Not enough people come for free ice cream so we’re stuck having to eat it all ourselves.
