Synopsis
State what the proposal does in one sentence.
- renew gulan’s recurring payout
- provide liquidity to CogniDAO to pay for ongoing expenses
Motivation
What problem does this solve? Why now?
To continue to incentivize gulan to participate and provide services to juicebox, other juicebox projects, and members of the juicebox community
Rationale
Why is this specification appropriate?
Gulan
How we got here
“I have maintained the books for juicebox for nearly the last 12 months, during that time I have tried to maintain relatively low profile while trying to understand juicebox and the ecosystem and align how my skills can better serve juicebox. Over the past 7 cycles, I have become more confident and believe that I have found a few areas where I can best apply skills:
- Bookkeeping upkeep
- Bookkeeping automation
- CogniDAO
- Sales and growth
With these known areas in mind, I plan to drastically increase my output for the DAO”
What has gulan done?
— Bookkeeping upkeep
- Translate all proposals into a machine readable table
- Keep a running tracker of all transactions by juicebox and their related proposals
- Track all compensation payouts and determine status’s
- Track juicebox’s infrastructure receipts and reimburse payee’s
— Proposals
- Transfer 200k funds: Juicebox v1 → v2 treasury
- Juicebox Subscription Reimbursements
- Gas multisig reimbursements
- Bookkeeping Implementation AdjustmentS (BIAS)
— Bookkeeping automation
Created a front/back end tool to automate bookkeeping and increase transparency into the bookkeeping data, with the overall goal for @jigglyjams & @twodam to adopt features into a single tool for all projects to use. Gulan will present a demo at the townhall on 11/8.
Gulan will post screenshots as available here to better show these features
Key features
- Reads notion proposal database
- Reads snapshot status and determines quorum and voting status
- Creates a postgres database hosted on AWS to handle all data
- Gives a birds eye view of juicebox proposals and their related payouts
- Integrates CogniDAO’s virtual cards for subscriptions with funding cycles
- Writes funding cycle data to notion table where https://juicetool.xyz/ can then read
CogniDAO
gulan has setup an agency, known as CogniDAO, that can payout vendors and service providers on behalf of juicebox. So far the CogniDAO has paid out subscriptions for both Juicebox and Peel. In the future, CogniDAO should be able to coordinate services from vendors.
Sales and Growth
gulan in a previous life created sales and marketing infrastructure and tool for a sales team of 50+ reps, including owning the CRM, sales strategy, automated marketing tools, user marketing tracking. gulan recently learned how to query juicebox’s data at scale via thegraph.com, gulan has already setup a hubspot instance for sales tracking and automated marketing outreach, in the coming cycles, gulan is going to combine the two and form a pipeline management tool for juicebox sales and project tracking. Additionally, gulan would like to work with peel, including @aeolian, to create event handlers on the front end site that capture sales relevant data and plugs those events/data into the CRM so sales team can better understand and convert potential customers/projects.
