Synopsis
Renew and increase the recurring payout for 0xBA5ED for 6 funding cycles_._
Motivation
My recurring payout has come to an end, this proposal will allow me to keep working full-time on Juicebox. I did a poll in the discord to check the sentiment regarding my contributions, 75% voted for me to increase my payout to $10k.
Some of the things I have worked on since the previous proposal:
- NFT-Rewards (commits)
- JBX Protocol V3 (commits)
- Aztec connect bridge* (commits) (WIP)
- Ghost/private payer (commits) (WIP)
- Allows for zero-knowledge private payments, redemptions and donations
In future FCs I would like to work on:
- Finishing WIP extensions (Aztec, AppleJuice, Ghost payers etc.)
- L2/Side-chain versions of Juicebox
- Doing more research on/prototyping of standardising extensions
- Various extensions for Juicebox (especially gasless payments and gas refunds)
- Do more exploring regarding JBFOSS
The above are just some examples of things I would really like to work on, however I ofc can't do all of these in the next 6 FCs (one L2 version of Juicebox may take more than 6 FCs). I always try to work on what (I think) the DAO feels is the highest priority.
Specification
For the next 6 funding cycles pay (0xBA5ED) 0xb045708e396E20071324C1aed2E4CFB90A0764FE $10,000 per funding cycle and keep him on the list of beneficiaries of reserved JBX.
Rationale
Smart-contract developers are hard to hire because its new, niche and there is a high demand. 0xBA5ED is an experienced smart-contract developer and is comfortable with and has a good understanding of the Juicebox V3 codebase.
Risks
- Reduced quality or less code shipped than before
- 0xBA5ED could stop contributing
