Synopsis
Offer to renew DrGorilla.eth (contract engineer) recurring payout, with the same amount and duration as the previous one ($18500/fc for 7 fc)
Motivation
The previous proposal mentioned the following projects and here are the latest related statuses:
- swap allocator: this project is now done.
- bridge allocator & L2: these have been post-poned by a couple of months, the protocol still being in the process of migrating to V3. The bridge allocator is designed and currently in draft, L2 is ready to be deployed.
- "others": see below
Here are other project I've coded/take part in during these last 6 fc which are now over:
- Buyback delegate: I coded it for V2 and now refactored it for V3, it is now ready for use, when $JBX is migrated
- Delegates registry: This is an onchain registry for deployers associated with delegates. Use-case is for frontends to easily validate a new delegate
- I created the UnumDAO opt-in contract, allowing ConstitutionDAO2 contributors to easily swap their CDAO2 NFT for an unumDAO one
Here are some of my on-going projects:
- V3 eth terminal monitoring/alerting system: without it, in the event of a hack, we might not notice anything (and take appropriate actions) for a long time - this is part of an on-going effort we're leading with @filipv in creating emergency procedures.
- Juice distributor: this is a staking contract, gathering reserved token from multiple project and allow staker to receive a weekly basket. This is an early stage project (we discussed the design, I've coded some test and I'm now starting to implement - this is TDD for the coding geeks)
- NFT reward: this is an ever moving contract, as we gather more feedback and idea, and push new versions accordingly
You can track (this is another mini-project I'm doing) all the contract crew work and status here: https://github.com/orgs/jbx-protocol/projects/5 - note not all project's from this proposal are listed, as I started tracking them roughly 2-3fc ago...
This list is non-exhaustive (I might forget some along the ways) and does not take into account projects where I'm not considering myself as "core" but still give a hand (reviewing, testing, etc).
Edit 27/01: This projects list size, in the light of the latest issue we faced, will be reduced in the future, in order to avoid having multiple projects interfering with each other - quality over quantity.
Specification
Continue the current scheme while modifying the recipient address: send 18500$ worth of ETH to the V3 Juicebox project 421 (https://juicebox.money/v2/p/421), each FC, for a total of 7FC.
This should have been the project 420, but DrGorilla.eth is a stupid ass monkey and burned the 420…
Rationale
At some point in the future, we might not need any on-chain addition. As mentioned, our current pipeline is not at this point yet, hence this proposal.
Risks
DrGorilla might:
- stop producing quality code (potentially leading to a loss of treasury fund)
- disappear
- just start being an overall jerk (without prejudging of the actual jerk status)
