Synopsis#

Artist payment for Youni Fest Summer 2023.

Motivation#

This money will be used to pay all performing musicians $200 each. Before booking artists, we want to be sure we can pay them. So it's important that the funds to pay artists are already covered *

Specification#

Up until we start paying artists, the funds raised will remain in the YouniDAO JB treasury. With the assistance of the Youni Fest organizer we have engaged, we will pay performers within a month after their performance. When they have confirmed the artist's performance and payment, they will have access to the JB fund and will distribute the artist's payout. pt.type.

Rationale#

It's important to understand that money will remain in the JB treasury for reasons of security and complete transparency to contributors. Additionally, donations that aren't used for whatever reason will be kept in the treasury for the following YouniFest or additional artist support initiatives that we would be happy to explore with the community.

Risks#

Worst case, we don't tour in every city, which means we may have leftover funds, which as mentioned would stay in the treasury for the following Youni Fest or other artist support initiatives.

Timeline#

The first Youni Fest is this Summer 2023 (June–August). We are already collecting artist submissions and would like to confirm artists by April-May of 2023. That being said, It would be ideal for the proposal to start ASAP and end April 2023 at the latest.
