Thesis
If this proposal receives more affirmative votes than JBP-XXX Evenly Update Reserved JBX, update JuiceboxDAO's reserved token recipients on each of its projects as follows:
Keep the reserved rate at 50%, and:
- Send 30% to @peel.
- Send 10% to @wagmi-studios.
- Leave the remaining 60% for @juicebox.
Motivation
The DAO's reserved JBX is not being utilized as effectively as it could be. Reserved issuance has become diluted to the point of being mostly symbolic – with a more opinionated distribution, the DAO could make reserved JBX more meaningful, and strategically utilize it towards achieving the DAO's objectives.
Going forwards, JuiceboxDAO can utilize its JBX on a per-proposal basis. Instead of latently sending tokens directly to contributors, we can make token distributions more intentional and meaningful by distributing them to teams – for those tokens to be distributed further, there will have to be a justification.
Peel and WAGMI should be free to utilize their JBX as they would like to, but by distributing to their projects instead of individuals, JuiceboxDAO can nudge them in the direction of at least considering a more intentional distribution.
Risks
This will mean more proposals, more overhead, and more thought put into something that used to be automatic. What we've done so far has worked, and it's possible that we're abandoning a very effective system which minimizes overhead.
