Synopsis

Renew Matthew and Brileigh’s recurring payout for seven (7) cycles to continue producing educational materials, product updates, The Juicecast, and Juicenews.

Motivation

As the dust settles on the V3 Juicebox contracts and the juicebox.money frontend becomes more polished, the need for growth initiatives is more clear than ever. Current and potential users need pragmatic resources to help them understand what Juicebox is, how it works, and how they might use it for their projects.

We have been consistently producing high-quality, on-brand materials like step-by-step video tutorials on JBDAO YouTube, consistent product and ecosystem updates via Juicenews, and clear written guides in the Docs. Potential users also need to trust Juicebox enough to support projects or launch their own, and the Juicecast has proved an effective vehicle to tell project creators’ stories and humanize the builders behind Juicebox itself.

Recent work

🍊 Collaboration with Peel

The frontend team at Peel is shipping new product features and bug fixes weekly at a superhuman pace. We have attended nearly all Peel standups, town halls, and product workshops in order to keep the community better informed about juicebox.money and develop an effective strategy for announcing product updates.

📰 Ecosystem Updates

Juicenews is a weekly newsletter capturing all of the latest developments in the Juicebox ecosystem including trending projects, protocol and product updates, tutorials and guides, recent podcast episodes, community updates, governance recaps, and town hall summaries.

📚 Educational Content and Docs

We have continued to produce high-quality tutorials and step-by-step guides to help project creators better understand the protocol and easily build and maintain their projects. Recent tutorials have also included playful animations to help illustrate Juicebox primitives. The focus going forward will be to finish tutorials for the remainder of the Create flow and produce use case videos to help clearly build JB mental models.

🎙 The Juicecast

The Juicecast is a cultural anthropology of Juicebox featuring interviews with community members building and maintaining projects using the protocol. We are responsible for all production tasks from interview prep, scheduling guests, co-hosting, editing, and audio engineering.

Juicecast ep. 24: Chris Carella on Nounish DAOs & Building The Farcaster Ecosystem with Purple DAO

Juicecast production has expanded to include video podcasts to help humanize JB projects and the organizations behind them, all while leveraging guests’ network effect to bring new audiences into the Juicebox ecosystem.

Juicecast ep. 22: Ticket To Space, sending a MoonDAO member to space & the first ever DAO documentary

We also promote episodes through Twitter campaigns which generate a significant # of impressions.

  • TTS campaign generated 24.7k+ impressions
  • Regular Juicecast programming generated 12.69k+ impressions

We’ve also been producing NFT Tokenomics Office Hours with Nicholas and Jango and distributing it on the Juicecast feed and JBDAO YouTube.

🖥️ Building out JBDAO YouTube presence

To increase the searchability and discovery potential of JB content currently being produced, we have placed greater emphasis on YouTube through the following strategies:

  • Maintained a Juicecast full episodes playlist with podcast episodes cross-posted as 4k waveform visualizers and catchy titles
  • Updated a Juicecast Clips playlist with new 2-5min videos highlighting quotable moments from Juicecast interviews with high-profile guests
  • Added new videos to the Tutorial playlist with SEO-optimized titles and colourful thumbnails

Specification

Add $3000 USD recurring payout from Cycle 48 to Cycle 54 (inclusive) to matthewbrooks.eth from the v3 treasury

Add $3000 USD recurring payout from Cycle 48 to Cycle 54 (inclusive) to brileigh.eth from the v3 treasury

* Juicecast JB project is launching imminently and will transfer both payouts there instead, waiting for gas to drop below 50 gwei

Rationale

We are proposing to renew our existing payout to reflect the continued workload and output that we have established over the last several months.

Risks

  • Matthew and Brileigh might start shilling shitcoins instead of Juicebox
  • Matthew might lose his streak in the gm channel (currently 408)

Timeline

This proposal should take effect immediately and last seven (7) funding cycles, starting in Cycle 48 and ending in Cycle 54 (inclusive).
