Synopsis
The Juicebox V4 protocol and its clients are now fully deployed. Juicebox.money, app.revnet.eth.sucks, retail.banny.eth.sucks are all live. We are actively fundraising for Revnets (https://app.revnet.eth.sucks/eth:3) and Banny Network (https://app.revnet.eth.sucks/eth:4) as our first proofs of concepts, while Juiceworks is supporting the planning for a handful of upcoming traditional Juicebox.money fundraises that will go live within this upcoming month. All of this work benefits $JBX's book of assets ($REV, $BAN, $NANA).
There isn't much ETH left in the Juicebox DAO tank, but there is work to do that will help us successfully fundraise for the next few years of Juicebox ecosystem growth and development:
Security Fund 0xBa5ed to continue stress testing omnichain juicebox. Make sure all cross chain Sucker technologies are usable by projects... including facilitating bare-bones front-end experiences for chain interop.
Web Clients Fund JBM and Revnet Research Group to continue iterating on feedback from early users. Make sure JBM and the revnet app are as tight as it can possibly be, including USDC-based projects and revnet loans.
Marketing Fund Juiceworks to continue helping projects get their campaigns in order, while running social accounts and ads for the Juicebox ecosystem. Make sure all project creators are cared for and all X accounts are tastefully attracting and converting new community and customers.
Motivation
A recap of the past 2 months:
- JBM has wrapped up deployment of omnichain Juicebox. Though the site allows projects to deploy and run omnichain, there are loose ends that need tightening for risk-reduced operations, smooth and safe user experiences, and keeping up with feedback as users begin using the new tools.
- Jango has continued operating Juiceworks to help project owners plan their campaigns. There are a number of projects in the final stretch of planning, with launch dates of around May 1st. Many more are being planned without clear launch dates yet. Meanwhile, a number of platforms are being planned that use Juicebox under the hood – Moon DAO, Artizen, Nouns Flows, and Cryo Sciences are each developing platforms powered by Juicebox. Jango meets with these teams regularly to plan. Jango is also paying for ads being run on the @juicebox_money X account, which have generated good feedback, brand awareness, and click throughs.
- Revnets have been the focal point of omnichain V4 since the protocol's deployment, as JBM took a few extra months to finish. The idea of a revnet is gaining mind share, and is positioning Juicebox as an ecosystem that values sustainable revenue generating businesses, built by considerate token engineers.
- Banny has been used to demonstrate omnichain V4 and revnets. Jango has been using Banny in almost every conversation to show people how the full stack works: Shop Bannys and outfits on any chain => sales go to $BAN. Apart from being a compelling art collection that celebrates Juicebox, it has been fundamental as a sales and marketing tool to propagate the more-complicated financial infrastructure that sits beneath. It is a cartoon that suggests how this stuff can be leveraged by real world businesses to grow their thing.
Where we go from here:
We need to focus on adding value to $JBX's book of assets.
- Support a next wave of successful fundraises on JBM, driving value to $NANA. - Make revnet loans easy to access, driving value to $NANA and $REV. - Support the next wave of audience-specific platforms currently being built (MoonDAO, Artizen, Nouns Flows, Cryo Sciences) that are being built on Juicebox, driving value to $NANA. - Continue attracting the best ecosystems (like those mentioned above) to Juicebox by positioning the brand as the safest and most powerful money I/O framework for fundraising and revenues, driving value to $NANA. - Use the Juicebox Money to attract the best project creators to Juicebox by positioning the brand as a go-to for the world's most ambitious projects, driving value to $NANA (and soon $JBM, tbd). - Use Revnets to attract the best investors to Juicebox and Revnet by position the brand as one that cares about sustainable revenue growth and business expansion, driving value to $NANA and $REV. - Use Banny to attract the best retail community to Juicebox, Revnet, and Banny by positioning the brands as relatable, accessible, and fun, driving value to $NANA, $REV, and $BAN.
Specification
Juicebox DAO should first add all its ETH back to the Juicebox DAO V3 Project.
($21k of ETH) - $3k / cycle to 0xba5ed for 7 cycles. ($21k) - $3k / cycle to juiceworks for 7 cycles. + $10k USDC for ads. ($42k) - $6k / cycle to aeolian and johnnyd for 7 cycles. 18 ETH to $REV in round 1. 9 ETH to $BAN - buying 9 Alien Bannys on mainnet. (replacing previous proposal that was approved to spend 40 ETH)
Rationale
All of these pieces need to come together to give us a great chance at earning continued funding.
Risks
Juicebox V4 infra is fresh. We should make forward progress, while being mindful that we may have to take a step back to deal with first-principle security risks should they come up.
