What role have you played in the community and what have you contributed thus far?
Since the time that I have joined the project, my work has mostly focused on the Juicebox Mechanism. The work included:
- Driving all Mechanism discussions culminating in proposing to add [Mechanism](/9d126f9148dc42ee83317d5cd74e4db4?v=50d0bbcb498044059cc0d4d83e8b13fa&p=8ffea6d5c63e417394213af8379e028b) as a focus area of the JuiceboxDAO foundation (FC14 proposal)
- Leading the discussion, proposal, and change to the [Bonding Curve](/9d126f9148dc42ee83317d5cd74e4db4?v=50d0bbcb498044059cc0d4d83e8b13fa&p=2c9e95b315d944da91ce1864c910ab67), [Reserve Rate](/9d126f9148dc42ee83317d5cd74e4db4?v=50d0bbcb498044059cc0d4d83e8b13fa&p=af93988ca3fe44828475fe9138d34675), and deployment of the [JBX Token Treasury](/9d126f9148dc42ee83317d5cd74e4db4?v=50d0bbcb498044059cc0d4d83e8b13fa&p=168e61808a184924b17549c34a8297ef) during FC12
- Developing comprehensive research on existing mechanism levers and capturing it in a new Mechanism workspace in the [Juicebox notion](/ea1e928a617e46339cf925f6ccfedfd9)
- Building a JBX token [mechanism model](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tPdMVDT6CoVmtspFSXu-osIYKJhiiTyo/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=117459388894321402795&rtpof=true) to develop a mathematical understanding of how changes to the mechanism impact the JBX token
- Initiating the discussion of JBX token staking and co-creating an [initial framework for staking mechanics](/6dcf8d7a00214751979dedc4dc53273c)
- Acting as a point of contract in the Juicebox Discord for mechanism questions for new members
- Collaborating with Analytics team members to develop JBX Dune dashboards
- Support the security of the Juicebox protocol by developing a proposal to [create a bounty system](/9d126f9148dc42ee83317d5cd74e4db4?v=50d0bbcb498044059cc0d4d83e8b13fa&p=18cf1b7d1c8c426fa0753163f59adbc4) and conduct an [Audit](/9d126f9148dc42ee83317d5cd74e4db4?v=50d0bbcb498044059cc0d4d83e8b13fa&p=d668152d6ccc49d5b2fe682a0b9683bc). Both items are pending the launch of V2.0
How do you want to contribute to the DAO going forward**?**
I will continue to work on the following areas to support the JuiceboxDAO and ecosystem:
- Transparently drive forward Mechanism research the JuiceboxDAO and the Juicebox ecosystem at large(Mechanism updates and learning can be implemented in projects working on the Juicebox protocol)
- Finalize the design of the staking mechanism and support the its roll out across the ecosystem including future protocol pricing features
- Develop JBX Dune dashboards (in collaboration with the Analytics team) to source JBX historical data enhancing the existing JBX token model
- Help develop methodologies to deploy the Juicebox treasury (dedicated vaults, Treasury DAO, etc.)
- Continue supporting the protocol security (post V2 launch)
Risks:
The Juicebox Mechanism is both an important and a highly visible part of the Juicebox protocol.
A delicate and ongoing approach is needed to balance the community needs with the long term development of the protocol.
Lack of focus, overcomplication, and short term orientation are some of the pitfalls that I should be cautions about while helping the DAO navigate the space.
What does success look like for someone taking on your role?
- Deepening our collective understanding of the potential in the Juicebox Protocol Mechanism
- Identifying and developing tangible new methods to continue improving the Juicebox Protocol mechanism
Under what criteria should the community reassess this payout?
The payment amount should be adjusted as I take on additional responsibilities, do not present progress on research areas, or shift my focus towards other tasks
Sponsors:
I have been collaborating with the following individuals within the protocol:
- Mechanism - @Jango , @filipv.eth, @Dr Gorilla, @Anonymous
