Abstract This proposal aims to produce a five-part educational series with Jerome Moore of Explore Social Change, following Dr. Eiman Jahangir, the first Iranian American man to go to space, as he visits five Metro Nashville Public Schools. The series will document Eiman's journey to space, highlighting his background as a physician, astronaut, and advocate for social change. The series is designed to inspire students, especially those from underrepresented communities, to pursue STEM careers while emphasizing the importance of diversity and inclusion in science and space exploration. Problem There is a lack of representation in STEM fields, especially for students from underrepresented backgrounds. Many students don’t see people who look like them in science or space careers, which can make pursuing those fields seem unattainable. Solution This production will showcase Eiman’s journey, focusing on how he overcame barriers to reach space. By visiting schools in his hometown, Nashville, Eiman will engage directly with students, sharing his story and demonstrating that success in STEM is possible for anyone. The series will feature interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and his personal reflections on social change, aiming to inspire and motivate students. Alternative solutions like standard presentations were considered but lack the lasting impact of a professionally produced series. Future directions could include expanding the series to other cities and regions. Benefits The series will benefit MoonDAO by:

1. Promoting Diversity and Inclusion: Showcasing how individuals from diverse backgrounds can break barriers in space exploration.
2. Inspiring Future STEM Leaders: By connecting with students, this series could lead to greater interest in space and science, creating future MoonDAO participants or supporters.
3. Educational Content for Distribution: MoonDAO can use this content across platforms for outreach, brand awareness, and to attract educational partners.
4. Revenue Generation: Potential sponsorship from educational institutions, grants, or partnerships with platforms like PBS, Netflix, or streaming services could generate revenue. Estimated revenue could range from $50,000 to $100,000 through licensing and partnerships.

Risks

1. Logistical Risks: Scheduling conflicts with school visits or production delays could slow down the project. We will mitigate this by securing dates and confirming availability well in advance.
2. Content Risks: If the content doesn’t resonate with students or fails to inspire the audience, the series may not achieve its objectives. To address this, we will work closely with educators to ensure the message is relatable and impactful.
3. Budget Risks: Exceeding production costs or not securing sufficient funding. We will address this by creating a detailed budget.

Objectives Objective #1: Raise awareness about diverse pathways to space exploration and STEM careers through Eiman’s personal journey, inspiring students to explore these fields. Key Results for Objective #1:

1. Deliver the series to at least 5 Metro Nashville Public Schools.
2. Ensure each episode reaches at least 500 students across all schools combined.
3. Gain positive feedback from at least 60% of teachers involved in the series.
4. Secure at least one educational or community partner to help distribute the series.
