MDP-56: MoonDAO Social Media Proposal

Abstract

As MoonDAO expands its reach it is important to meet new participants where they are. Given the global reach of MoonDAO and the ubiquity of social media, this is a large undertaking with similar potential to enhance the reach of MoonDAO. We are proposing a comprehensive cataloging, moderating, and enhancement project for all of MoonDAOs social media presences.

OKRs

Objective #1: Catalog and detail all social media accounts, establish any necessary channels Key Results for Objective #1:

  • Create a list of all platforms where MoonDAO will have a presence
  • Identify access holders and ensure accountability
  • Establish moderation and curation across all such platforms
  • Catalog similar and imposter accounts and take action where necessary

Objective #2: Select and utilize a social media management platform for MoonDAO’s social media presences Key Results for Objective #2:

  • Automation for postings across multiple platforms
  • Oversight of multiple MoonDAO platforms from one central location that can allow for automated keyword tracking, interest tracking, and multi-user access
  • Present a consistent and robust presence on social media platforms
  • Begin regular media campaigns on multiple platforms
  • Generate targeted leads for MoonDAO recruitment

Objective #3: Generate recommendations on the future use of translation services and paid marketing Key Results for Objective #3:

  • Quantify the approximate volume of content for each media channel Identify service providers for translation and marketing, and potential integrations with a social media management platform or existing social tools.
  • Estimate the cost of the above services for an appropriate subset of content
  • Recommend which, if any, of the above services should be pursued

Objective #4: Host AMAs and Live events to maximize engagement with social platforms

  • Key Results for Objective #4:
  • Host a virtual game night at least once per month where members can participate
  • Host AMAs at least bi-weekly featuring notable members of the space and Web3 communities
  • Coordinate media around notable space events, e.g. launch livestream, Dude Perfect launch

Objective #5: Conduct trial paid advertising and assess impact Key Results for Objective #5:

  • Obtain a ‘cost-per-engagement’ metric
  • The ability to quantify the potential impact of larger marketing campaigns
  • Increase our reach on social media channels
